Paloma Baron's artwork of three women in black and white

Chiaroscura

Chiaroscura is an assimilated series of realism and detail from Paloma Baron. Drawing from vintage fashion and 1980s alternative rock, Baron executes sharp, chiaroscuro techniques using charcoal and ink while heightening dimensionality. In addition to creating collages, she incorporates pop culture with a twist of questioning its beauty standards, identity, and memory. Every mark and image made across a blank surface, further progresses into a unique vision that Paloma desires to share with the world.
