The 2026 San Juan College Foundation Pickleball Tournament proved to be more than just a sporting event it was a high-energy celebration of community, competition and student support.
Held over three action-packed days, this year’s tournament raised the bar in every way, from record-setting participation to unprecedented fundraising success.
With more than 146 players competing in over 260 matches, the tournament drew pickleball enthusiasts from across the Four Corners region. Spectators packed the courts, pushing total attendance to more than 400 people throughout the weekend. From the first serve to the final point, the courts buzzed with excitement, laughter and friendly competition.
A Must-Attend Pickleball Event in the Region
Athletes traveled from throughout New Mexico and Colorado to take part, representing communities such as San Juan County, Durango, Pagosa Springs, Bayfield and Cortez. Men’s, women’s and mixed doubles brackets offered a range of skill levels, ensuring competitive play that was inclusive, spirited and sportsmanlike.
Whether players were seasoned competitors or enthusiastic supporters of the sport, the tournament delivered fast-paced matches, intense rallies and countless moments of camaraderie. The strong turnout reinforced the tournament’s reputation as a must-attend pickleball event in the region.
