San Juan College is proud to announce that Jayden Narciso, a dual credit student at San Juan College High School, has been named a 2026 New Century Transfer Scholar.

Narciso will receive a $2,750 scholarship in recognition of his outstanding academic accomplishments, leadership and commitment to extending his talents beyond the classroom.

New Century Transfer Scholar Program Recognizes Top Students Nationwide

The New Century Transfer Scholar program, sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), The Coca-Cola Foundation and the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, honors exceptional two-year college students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership and active involvement in their communities.

More than 2,300 students from nearly 1,400 college campuses across the United States were nominated for this prestigious honor. Only one New Century Transfer Scholar is selected from each state, making Narciso’s achievement a significant milestone for both him and San Juan College.

Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner, President and CEO of Phi Theta Kappa, praised Narciso’s accomplishment, stating:

Jayden Narciso: Dual Credit Student and Future Healthcare Leader

Jayden Narciso is a dedicated dual credit student, attending San Juan College High School while completing college-level coursework. He will graduate this May with both his high school diploma and an Associate of Science degree in Pre-Health Sciences.

During his time at San Juan College, Narciso has taken full advantage of the college’s academic programs and opportunities, noting that the support and resources have been instrumental in his success. He plans to continue his education at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, aiming to make a meaningful impact in healthcare.

Recognition at PTK Catalyst Convention

Jayden Narciso and other New Century Transfer Scholars will be honored at Phi Theta Kappa’s annual convention, PTK Catalyst, held in Baltimore, Maryland, from March 26–28, 2026. The convention will celebrate student leadership, scholarship and service, while providing networking and professional development opportunities for high-achieving two-year college students.
