If you have always wanted to learn how to weave or would like to weave again, this is your opportunity. We will be using rigid heddle looms to weave several projects. These looms are table looms that are easy to use. Each project will be employing different patterns and materials. No experience is necessary for this class. $55 supply fee payable to instructor at the first class for loom rental ($25) and all supplies ($30). Appropriate for ages 16 and up. 15 hrs

It’s time to get assistance with crochet, knit, tablet weaving, bobbin lace, embroidery or any other needle art project. Bring a project you just can’t seem to finish— or get started on those favorite gifts. For those who have always wanted to learn how to crochet, the time is now, with hands-on-instruction. Beginners will learn basic stitches and finish a scarf. Bring size 4 light color crochet yarn (not variegated or multi-colored) size G, H, or I crochet hook (with a wooden or rubber handle), small scissors and knitting needle size 8. Kumihimo braiding is an ancient braiding technique used for centuries by the Japanese to make decorative bands and sashes for their clothing and ceremonies. Today we use the bands to create bracelets, necklaces, bands to add to our creations, key fobs and more. Multiple strands are braided using a round or square disk. For this class, we will be learning two different patterns using a variety of cords and threads. No experience necessary. $15 supply fee payable to instructor at the first class. 12 hrs
