Whether you're looking to sharpen your culinary techniques with Basic Knife Skills, we offer a comprehensive curriculum tailored to the needs of aspiring food entrepreneurs. Join us and embrace the future of sustainable and culinary excellence.

Culinary and Hospitality Classes

Hone your cutting skills—safely. We’ll practice different cuts and techniques on a variety of vegetables and then send you home with the makings of a fine soup and new outlook on kitchen preparations. Supply fee of $35 for knife, sharpening stone, cutting board and food payable to instructor at the first class. Please register by the end of the day, Sunday, before the class so that the instructor has all necessary supplies. Appropriate for minors ages 12-18 with an accompanying adult. 3 hrs

ServSafe is administered by the National Restaurant Association:
“We understand the importance of our program in teaching and certifying responsible food service measures. We stay on top of the various and changing regulatory requirements for every state and ensure that our certifications will prepare you to implement essential food safety practices and create a culture of food safety.”
Upon completion of the class and a passing exam score of at least 75%, students will receive their ServSafe certification, good for 5 years. Class includes 2-day in-person instruction, current manual, and proctored exam. Register

JILL MAYER taught Family and Consumer Science and additional culinary classes for over 20 years and is a registered ServSafe Instructor and Proctor.by 4/17 as students will be given books ahead of time to prepare for class. Appropriate for ages 17 and up.

Upon completion of the class and a passing exam score students will receive their Food Handler’s certification. Class includes 2-hours of face-to-face instruction and completion of a paper test. Results will be mailed in by the proctor to the National Restaurant Association with results being returned in the mail. Students can opt to take an online class on their own for an additional $15. The cost includes in-person instruction, current manual, and proctored exam.
